My current hierarchy of Blue Horizon projects.
08/26/26:
1) Complete Blue Horizon: The Art and Dance of Fernando Chandrani-Rivera science fantasy horror romance visual novel (7.8k RN; should be between 10k to 20k once I finish scripting the endings).
If I can't find a composer, I'll utilize copyright-free tracks. This free game will need a lot of art to get to a stage of completion, and I wasn't able to find any artists or background artists who were willing to help where I looked. I might try again soon. If I can't find any artists, I'll complete everything on my own, including the waterfall backgrounds, which will take time.
2) Possibly finish the tiny 900-word Blue Horizon visual novel first, even though I want to revise it a bit so I like it more.
3) Revise how I work on the Blue Horizon: Bright Days, Sad Days comic. I want to go back to my old idea of just updating with singular comic pages that make sense but are "slice of life" world exploration a la the first 2 pages.
My idea for Blue Horizon: Bright Days, Sad Days is that instead of updating with random Blue Horizon artwork every week, I upload a Blue Horizon: BDSD comic page every 2 weeks or so. It only took me 3 days to work on the first comic page back when I sucked, but it's simple in terms of background.
In that regard, I'll be revising it so "comic 5" is no longer "comic 5" and instead meant for down-the-line after I slowly finish said story arc. It doesn't matter too much when it debuts as long as I actually debut the main characters' friends in a sensible way.
My first focus is to debut Layla and Alia as a pair alongside Fernando and Diego as a pair! Then Leo and Khaleel as a pair. These will be via hopefully comedic or sweet comics.
After that, I'll go into Blue Horizon: Bright Days, Sad Days how I imagined originally creating it. Instead of regular sketches, I just want to improve my art via Blue Horizon: Bright Days, Sad Days while having some fun showing off the world. Some days I'll go back to working on regular sketches, too. I'm kind of excited now at the thought of doing single-page comics that don't over-stress me.
4) Script Blue Horizon: Year 9999, a.k.a. the main comic. This comic may take a long time to debut.
